This portrait was taken at Vault 634 in Allentown, PA.
Anya, the bride, wanted some full-length portraits that really showed off her dress as well as the beautiful venue where she was getting married at. The front balcony at Vault 634 is one of the best places for these kinds of pictures. This point of view shows off the incredible ceiling and light fixtures.
To make sure that the focus was on her first and the venue second, I set up a light off-camera right to help her stand out more. I use a variety of lighting on wedding days including flash, natural light, and continuous LED's. This allows me to be prepared for any kind of scenario I am presented with. Sometimes there is unflattering available light on a wedding day and I would never want to be at the will of that kind of circumstance. I am always able to use the light around me or create light so that my couples look their best on their wedding days.
