The couple, Sarah and Josh, decided to do a first look on their wedding day as most of my couples do. I always make a point of understanding my couples wants and needs and part of that includes where we are taking pictures. There is always purpose behind the specific environments that I am photographing my couples in.
Sarah and Josh wanted to have their first look in the small courtyard area of the Rittenhouse. It allowed them to be outside while in the city and also allow them the privacy they requested. I do not recommend having your first look in any kind of crowded pubic space as that can distract from the moments between the couple.
