These portraits were taken in Philadelphia, PA just outside of Rittenhouse Square.
When Sarah and Josh talked to me about their portraits together on the wedding day, they had a very clear vision. They did not want to go to the more common locations in the city but rather have some photography that was more unique to them and their style. They talked about the beautiful side streets and facades throughout the city. To make sure that Sarah and Josh got the environments that they envisioned, I scouted out the areas around their venue, the Rittenhouse Hotel. I took pictures that matched their vision and even set up an online gallery so they can choose their favorite locations BEFORE the wedding day. I would never want my couple to have to wait around for me to scout locations on the actual day of their wedding.
I often say that there is a lot more to taking a picturing than taking the picture. What I mean by that is the planning, scouting, and logistics are all taken care of before the wedding day. We have a game plan and that allows me to meet my couples wants and needs, which includes their vision, and I can work efficiently. That also equates to a great experience for them and that is always the foundation of my photography business.
