There are a variety of traditional events on the wedding day for a couple to partake in. The cake cutting is one of them. The couple, Nikki and Zach, decided to both take a bite out of a large pice of cake after they cut it. It made for a great moment to be photographed.
Some couples are very civil with their cake cutting while others might escalate the situation to a playful food fight. Either way works for me and it's always my job to be ready for anything and capture it through my lens. I will say over time the cake cutting has become a bit more low key and often times it is not even an announced event at the wedding reception but rather a quiet moment that the couple just enjoys together.
