I will be honest and say that I teared up at this part of the wedding day. The bride, Nikki's, mother had just helped her get into her dress and she was sharing some words of wisdom. She ended up getting so overcome with joy, as did Nikki, and it created a very special moment to be photographed.
The getting ready pictures on the wedding day are a sometimes overlooked part of a photographers portfolio. But in reality, these pictures are an introduction to the wedding day story and I find very important to photograph and show in my portfolio. This image perfectly supports that statement.
