I always believe that a wedding couple's details are an extension of who they are. It's their personality and character. The bride, Nikki, wanted me to photograph the wedding bands and some jewelry that was an important part of her family tradition. Her sister, Sarah, wore the same bracelet on her wedding day which I was also fortunate enough to have been welcomed into.
The wedding bands were photographed on a piece of glass with blue wall paper in the background which mimicked the ocean views just outside the hotel balcony window. I thought those cool tones complimented the warmth of the bed cover with the rest of the jewelry. These are the kinds of palette decisions I make when photographing a wedding day.
