This photograph was taken at Bethesda Terrace in Central Park, New York City.
This was one of the places that Yael and Justin wanted to explore during their engagement session. The beautiful archways in the architecture behind them made for a nice framing element in the picture as the two of them were walking. When I photograph couples, it's very important that they have a great experience and I make a point of allowing them to be authentic to who they are. While I don't know exactly what Yael and Justin were talking about, I know they were enjoying each others company. That's very important for me.
I highly recommend bringing a bag with you during your engagement sessions in Central Park. You can keep extra wardrobe, accessories, comfortable shoes (for walking from one picture location to another) as well as water and snacks. If it's the summer months, sunscreen and bug spray could be a good idea as well. You dont want to get sunburn or be bothered by bugs while you're having your pictures taken.
